Wonder Woman Theme Park

My design for a Wonder Woman theme park would be based on the home of the Amazon woman, Paradise Island, that is explained in the first issue of the comic. This theme park would be just for girls to empower them like Wonder Woman and to focus on positive character traits like the one she lived by-strength, love and justice. The design would be based on ancient Greece with ruins and outdoor theater.

When they enter the park, they get to choose there Wonder Woman costume for the day, but since there kids they will wear t-shirt not sexy tops and bottoms. One activity would be a VR competition with Amazon woman and Olympic type games. Next they could ride in her invisible plane and watch 3D scene of the evolution of Wonder Woman throughout the years. They also could ride a roller coaster with VR headset they makes them feel like they are running and jumping with Wonder Woman to catch a bad guy. This park will allow girls to be the hero of there own stories while encouraging them to be good human beings

Marriage of a Thousand Lies

It was pretty cool to hear S J Sindu talk about her novel and the story behind it. I thought was interesting to see how different gay people are accepted in her culture. Their challenges gay people faced in our country 30 years ago. It was an easy story to read, and she did a good job describing the scenes. In the movie, it was interesting to see how the director brought the scenes to life. I understand that she wanted to leave the story somewhat open and to leave you to make your own assumption of what could happen but for me I wish there was some kind of an ending to have some kind of closer to what happened.

Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice was written by Jane Austen in the 1800s, its about young people trying to find love. Since its the 1800s, there are a lot of differences in the way they dressed, talked, socialized. However, the relationships are very similar to the relationships today. People in Jane Austen's time judged people unfairly, and people today do the same thing. For example, Mr. Bingley's sister didn't think Jane and her family were good enough for him because they didn't have that much money. We don't have those social rules today but a family might still disagree if there son wanted to marry a girl outside their culture. Another relationship that is similar today it Lydia and Wickham.
